Finalists revealed for Little Moments Matter Awards celebrating professionals supporting those with rare form of epilepsy

Dravet Syndrome UK, the charity supporting families living with Dravet Syndrome, has today announced the finalists for its first Little Moments Matter Awards, an initiative celebrating health, social care and education professionals who have gone above and beyond in their support of families affected by this rare and life-limiting form of epilepsy.

Families from across the UK who are caring for a loved one with Dravet Syndrome nominated professionals who have transformed their lives and provided outstanding support.

Over 30 professionals have been shortlisted as finalists in four categories, including:
● Health Professional of the Year
● Social Care Professional of the Year
● Education Professional of the Year
● Special Recognition for Empowering Families

A special lifetime achievement award will also be announced at the awards ceremony.

Galia Wilson, Chair of Trustees at Dravet Syndrome UK, said: “The nominations we have received tell powerful stories of professionals who have gone above and beyond for families caring for loved ones with Dravet Syndrome.

Dravet Syndrome is incredibly complex and often misunderstood, yet our finalists have seen through the barriers of the condition and shone through. They remind us that even in the toughest circumstances, it’s the little moments that make the biggest difference”.
The winners of the awards will be announced at Dravet Syndrome UK‘s professionals and parent and carer conference on Friday 14 November 2025 and Saturday 15th November.
